Who we are
MakerBatch is operated by Richard Crowhurst trading as MakerBatch. Contact: hello@makerbatch.co.uk.
Postal address: 130 Northgate Street, Great Yarmouth, NR30 1BP, United Kingdom.
ICO registration number: ZC196235.
What information we collect
We collect account details such as contact name, business or trading name, email address, password credentials, subscription status and login activity. Users may enter business records including ingredients, materials, recipes, supplier lots, production batches, finished stock, sales records, notes and similar maker-admin data.
How we use information
We use information to provide MakerBatch, manage accounts, sync user records, provide support, improve the service, manage early access or subscriptions, maintain security, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Payment data
Paid subscriptions are intended to be processed by Stripe. MakerBatch should not store full card details. Stripe may process payment, billing and fraud-prevention data under its own terms and privacy information.
Cookies and local browser storage
MakerBatch uses an essential session cookie to keep users signed in and protect account access. The app may also use local browser storage on the user's device to remember working data, support draft recovery, and keep the app usable between saves. These are used to provide the service requested by the user and are not used for advertising or behavioural tracking.
If analytics, advertising pixels or other optional tracking tools are added in future, MakerBatch will review whether a separate consent banner or cookie controls are needed before those tools are enabled.
Legal basis
We process data to provide the service contract, respond to requests, manage legitimate business interests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Where data is stored
MakerBatch is hosted in the UK using a UK hosting provider. Some third-party services, such as Stripe or email providers, may process data under their own infrastructure and safeguards.
Sharing information
We do not sell user data. We may share data with service providers needed to operate MakerBatch, including hosting, email and payment providers, or where required by law.
Account closure and deletion
Users can request account closure by contacting us from their registered email address. We will delete or anonymise data where appropriate, while keeping information we are required to retain for legal, tax, accounting, dispute or security reasons. Backups may retain deleted data for a limited period before normal rotation removes it.
If a free trial ends and no paid subscription is started, MakerBatch may retain the account and workspace data for up to 30 days to allow the user to return or export records. After that period, the account and associated workspace data may be deleted or anonymised.
If a paid subscription is cancelled, account and workspace data may be retained for up to 30 days after access ends to allow export or reactivation, unless we need to keep certain information for legal, tax, accounting, dispute or security reasons.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Our ICO registration number is ZC196235.
